First Aid

First Aid services will be on hand to provide simple small injury treatment and advice.

More serious injuries should be treated as such, using 999 and local Accident and Emergency hospital services.

We have ice at Tournament HQ, please ask at the reception desk at the marquee

Bristol Royal Infirmary is here

Changing and Showers

The changing/showering facilities are on site in the building to the right of the main pavilion.  Sign posted for men and women.

Toilets are available in here and in the main building (go in to the bar and turn right).

We have also hired portaloos which are regularly cleaned and serviced over the weekend.

Showers and toilets are available 24 hours a day.

Security

All players and spectators must wear a wristband at all times over the weekend - either a camping or non-camping wristband.

Replacement camping wristbands will be given, but only if the broken one is returned. Lost wristbands will be charged the full camping fee.

There is night security staff on duty. Please alert them to any unruly behaviour, noise disturbances etc. A telephone number will be available onsite should you need to contact them.

The Emergency Contact number for the weekend is 07907 221418

Physio

Our friend Ian Reinge will be joining us again this year, offering short sessions of physio and massage over the weekend.

His website is here

Information Boards

Large information display boards will be around the site, please keep an eye out for these.

Disco

The Tournament Disco will take place in the Main Pavilion on Saturday night from 8pm.

Entry is included with your team entry fee, including for visitors; security will be on the door checking wristbands and monitoring numbers for safety.

Entry Fees

We are blessed to have a team of volunteers that make this event run and allow us to make funds for our club, while providing you with the best experience possible.

We still have to pay for the venue, the marquee and associated equipment, security etc., so while we try and keep our fees as low as possible, it has to be worth our time to put the event on.

Fees have been reviewed for this year and we have had some increases in costs for hire, therefore we are increasing the entry fee by a small amount, but keeping the camping fees the same.

We are introducing a deposit scheme this year to reward our teams that play and participate in the spirit of the event, making all matches, refereeing etc. This deposit will be returned after you have advised Kate that you are leaving on Sunday, after all commitments are satisfied. This will also result in an early bird entry for next years event.

Tournament Merchandise

Tournament merch will be on sale all weekend near the tournament office as a momento of your weekend :)

We have a limited supply of T-shirts and hoodies, so please arrive early to secure your choice.

We will also have whistles and lanyards for sale this year as Sportset will not be with us

Kids activities

Junior volleyball sessions will be run periodically over the weekend (volunteer permitting). Please check at the tournament marquee for times.

A small activities/games area will be available.
N.B. Children must be supervised at all times (including the junior volleyball sessions)

Gazebos

We are happy for you to bring a gazebo to create a communal area between tents, but please bear in mind the space we have available and limit it to one gazebo for your group.

If we run out of camping space and you have multiple gazebos, or space taken up, we may ask you to move tents or gazebos.

Weather

As with all summer outdoor activities in the UK, we are at the behest of Mother Nature. She has mostly been very kind to us over the years, but has the odd moment where she decides to change.

We have only ever cancelled once for the weather and that was in 2007 when there was a national emergency declared for the floods, particularly in the South West of England.

Your safety is of paramount importance to us and we will always be guided by that, however there are often dramatic ‘click-bait’ headlines in the run up to any weather about the biggest, most, longest, heaviest, worst whatever that is going to happen, and often does not.

We appreciate everyone who trusts us and stays with us to the event, comes along and has a fabulous time regardless of what the weather throws at us.

We have various plans, A, B, C & D for different levels of difficulty. If we can play 50% of the weekend, we will do a one day timed event for example; we have short friendlies for really small windows on one day and full day on the other, timed and set formats to adapt to whatever we can do. It isn’t a set “this is what we will do if”, it is a Friday night/Saturday morning “how many pieces of the puzzle can we put together to give our guests as much volleyball as we can”.

Please remember, we are all volunteers, fellow volleyball lovers and doing our best to keep all of you happy :-)
